08/13/98 AI: Jean Guyer: Create a Publicity Pamphlet Handout with Mission and activities of Committee to help attract new members.
09/10/98: Jean will work with Jill Barker and Bill Demers.  Bill has some pamphlet software we can use.
02/11/99: Sumiko and Bill have drafted and are mailing in March.
10/08/98: Jean has done many press releases and will now look into a pamphlet.
11/12/98: Bill and Jean are reviewing a proposal
12/10/98: Sumiko & Bill to coordinate brochure by 1/7 in time for review by next meeting. SK & Bill will coordinate merging pamphlets via email. Email to group for review.
02/11/99: Brochure to be available by March meeting.  To be distributed by mail and local distribution throughout town.
02/22/99: Bill and Sumiko distributed paper draft.  It looks very good.  Please provide feedback to Bill via the mail, email or FAX listings at the top of this document.
03/11/99: Final review at meeting. Bill Demers will publish 200 copies and bring to next meeting.
04/08/99: Published by Bill and folded by team.

08/13/98 AI: Entire Committee: Mark up a copy of a local map indicating the roads you have familiarity with as a proposal to start a team effort in the fall.  Prepare a color-coded map of all roads in North Andover describing their suitability for bicycle and/or skating use.  Suggest Red, Yellow, Green Color Coding.  The map must have some quasi-legal notes on usage to avoid liability and the Bicycle Advocacy Committee being sued.  Sergeant Fred Soucy, North Andover Police Safety Officer would like to review any map before it is distributed.  Individual suggestions on routes are welcome, and in the fall, the committee will do a joint route rating effort driving around town.
02/11/99: Working with MVPC mapping software. Coordinating with Steve Manning on Trail Committee on open space maps.
09/10/98: No update
10/08/98: suggestion to use recent 1998 map of greater Lawrence and also contact NA town hall to get a zoning map.
11/12/98: Bob Naftal distributed an 11'x17" map of town suitable for this purpose.  He also showed his proposed rating of roads in Southeastern North Andover.
12/10/1998: Trails committee is working on a 'green space' map. Might be useful to coordinate with this somehow. Get straw proposal of map showing road suitability for bicycling, skating and walking and try to schedule a van ride sometime in the next couple of months for the NABAC to agree on road ratings.  Bill will load Bob Naftal's proposed map on web-site.
02/11/99: Dick Parkinson proposed his marked-up map and proposed organizing a car trip to review and rate roads.
03/11/99: no update.
04/08/99: Bob will coordinate mapping effort with digital map work.

04/08/99: Mike to contact John Daghlian about his plans for the Cochickiwik Brook Path.

03/11/99: Contact Harold Parker State Forest (Bruce Colburn, Harold Parker State Forest Supervisor) about the bike trail route & if the trail could be diverted through the forest.
04/08/99: assigned to Bob Naftal. Coordinate with Steve Manning of trails committee.

03/11/99: Put together a standard 'packet' of information that could be handed out to Harold Parker Forest, various town committees, Electric Company, H.S. teachers, etc.
04/08/99: Sumiko to put together this packet with help from Dick and Bob.

03/11/99: Develop a list of land abutters. The grant will probably not cover the whole area.
04/08/99: Peabody has list of deeds on the web. Lawrence doesnt. No update.

AI: Bob Naftal to call Jill Barker to determine status of bulletin board.
04/08/99: Jill brought two copies to meeting.  One will be displayed at the volunteer fair.  Jill can't keep the pictures up permanently in Library, but will rotate them as possible.  Jill will print out extra graphics for the second rail trail bulletin board.

AI: Bob Naftal  & Michael Goriansky to investigate 'Volunteer Fair' being put on by Library: April 10 or 17th at Library. Decide on participation. Maybe collaborate with Open Space, Trails and NABAC.

04/09/99 AI:  Mike to find out how to get a listing in the public services area of the local telephone yellow pages book.

04/09/99 AI:  BN to meet with Gerard Whitten (GIS coordinator) at MVPC to go over the mapping software. Need to ask Bill Scott for approval to use the town data and the software. Bill has receive Bob's request, we are waiting for approval. Jim  Rand will be our mapping contact.   Then on our web site we can point to the free browser and show our bicycle related maps.

04/09/99 AI: BN to contact Sumiko & Bill when he makes appointment with Gerard Whitten.

04/09/99 AI:Bill to find out if the NA bike shop is sponsoring weekly group rides when he drops off flyers at local bike store.
