WINNING & LOSING

The definition of a winner:

"One who trains their best, performs their best and is always looking for ways to improve, no matter what place they finish"

WINNING & LOSING

Winning is "good", but, losing is "good for you", if you let it. Just like training makes you a better athlete, losing trains your mind to set new goals and will make you realize, there is always going to be someone better than you. To become better, you must learn from the mistakes you make and correct them for future confrontations. It's not who you beat in competition, it's how much better you performed than the last time. For the most improvement, you must compete against yourself.

Instead of blaming equipment, a teammate, coach or someone else for a loss, focus on the weak areas of your individual or teams performance.

Teams should concentrate on weakness and coordination. More experienced teammates should help the less athletic members with additional training instead of criticizing them for a poor performance. A good team consists of a coach and athletes who work together to perform at their very best.

A team becomes more powerful and successful when all involved help each other to reach full potential.

An individual athlete becomes more successful when he or she learns from their own mistakes and continuously improves by setting goals and consistently following their training program.
